How we work, step by step
This page promises no outcome; it shows the process. What happens before, during and after a procedure, what we work with and how it is sterilised, and examples of completed work with an explanation of what was done.
What one visit looks like
Before the procedure
An examination and an X-ray if needed, then a plan: what will be done, in what order and what it costs. Anything unclear you ask before anything begins; changing a plan afterwards is harder than before.
Preparing the place
Instruments are washed, packed and sterilised in an autoclave; the pack is opened in front of you. The work surface and the chair are wiped between patients, and single-use stays single-use.
During the work
Anaesthetic when it is needed, and a pause whenever you ask for one — a raised hand is the agreed signal. If something turns up that was not in the plan, we stop and talk about it rather than carry on.
After the procedure
You get instructions on what you may and may not do, and a number to call if something bothers you. The follow-up appointment is booked straight away, while you are still here.
What we work with
Sterilisation
A vacuum-cycle autoclave, packed instruments and a record of every cycle. The pack is opened in front of the patient — the only way sterility can be seen rather than promised.
X-rays
A digital X-ray appears on the screen at once, so the finding is looked at together. The image stays in the practice's records and is available to the patient on request.
Materials
Composites, ceramics and zirconium oxide; the choice follows the tooth and its position, not a catalogue. What was fitted is written in the treatment plan and on the invoice.
Completed work
Examples are published one at a time, with a description of what was done. Until then, what your own case needs is seen at an examination: book an appointment or give us a call.
